In Module 5, Thrive vs Survive, you begin to learn to tap into the incredible power and wisdom you have in your body to intentionally downshift your nervous system.Â
So far, you’ve been laying the groundwork with the BE ME framework, practicing BE ME breaks, embodying authentic alignment, and breaking barriers in your body and mind. Now, you’re gaining a deeper understanding of how your body holds onto emotions, past experiences, and survival strategies—and how this old belief systems and ways of being might be limiting your ability to BEcoME your true self.
This module is all about simple, intentional practices that help you create safety in your nervous system. Thrive vs. Survive exercises are scientifically proven to be centering, calming, and grounding to help you downshift, and rewire your nervous system. These can be layered into your BE ME break as a powerful tool to build foundational resiliency so that you can live most of your life in a state of thriving, not just surviving.
Thrive vs Survive practices are not just another task on your to-do list. They offfer an opportunity to be with yourself, to listen, to discover, and to create an experience that feels nurturing and supportive. You're encouraged to notice what feels good and what doesn’t, and follow your instincts. This is your chance to play, to be creative, and to truly care for yourself in a way that perhaps you haven’t experienced before.
I’ll be introducing you to the practices of settling breath, butterfly hug, and arm sweep. Think of them as a gift to yourself; a way to attune to your needs and build safety from the inside out. You deserve to be cared for like this.Â
